Travel after applying for passport ?

Post by peter88 » Wed Jul 17, 2019 5:18 pm

Hey guys,

Quick one - i just got my naturalization certificate and applied for my UK passport. They asked me to send my other passport to them, which i did.

I still have my National Identity card issues by an EEA country.

I want to travel within the EU over the weekend for a week. I don’t have my UK passport yet ( application made ) and I don’t have my EU passport as I sent it to the government with my application. Where I’m going - i can enter using my ID Card. I checked on UK GOV website and it also states i can enter using my ID Card.

Do you see any potential issues with this ?

You can enter the UK with either a valid passport or a national identity card issued by an EEA country.
