The bank statement should show the salary payments for the weeks/months you're relying on in the application. If due to the date the statement is printed it shows further payments, this is not necessarily an issue.RVC1003 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 19, 2019 12:47 amI might be overthinking this so I've decided to ask this question to get some more perspective.
I have a bank statement printed and stamped in branch which covers 6 full months and a partial month (it goes up to the date of printing), the full months each have a salary payment but my salary hasn't yet been paid for the current month. I'm wondering whether it's unusual to include more than the exact number of months required and if I need to make it clear in the cover letter which months are relevant and should be counted?
I had a hard time getting the statement from the bank. I had to go get the support line to help me out and got the "just this once" impression from the manager, so I'm not tempted to redo it if there's no reason to.
Thanks
For none-immigration related matters its a good practice but for visa purposes depending on individual caseworker it may even confuse him/her. For visa purposes the documents must be relevant, precised and well organized.
Don't remove any page and never use any highlighter rather just leave it like that. Ideally in additional info section simply clarify that you have attached the bank statement which covers additional period too.RVC1003 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 19, 2019 7:49 pmI could remove most of the entries for July (leaving just a few) if I exclude the first page, but that is the page with the banks header on it. The other pages are stamped but they are just plain lists of transactions.
I see some people have used a pencil or a highlighter to draw attention to important things like salary deposits. Is that a good idea?
Hi I had the exact same problem with the bank. I initially asked for 7 months thinking i’ll get one month extra just in case. But it would have been a lot of hassle to get 6 after. If I removed the pages you would be able to tell that I have omitted some so I submitted 7 months pay slips to correspond with the 7 months bank statements and 7 months of wages shown. If your statements only show 6 months of wages then I’m sure 6.5 months of bank statements will be fine.RVC1003 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 19, 2019 12:47 amI might be overthinking this so I've decided to ask this question to get some more perspective.
