Can some Doc be submitted after initial application is done

I have all the documents to go for a tier1 application However I am only waiting for Bank Statement which will arrive from India on 21 July.

So my query is can I go ahead with current documents and submit the Bank Statement at later stage.

I am in UK only upto Aug so I want to apply immediately.

The letter that UKBA sends to inform aplicants of their application reference number specifically mentions that additional documents must not be sent unless requested.

However, before 30-Jun, the UKBA website did mention on one of the webpages that applicants could send additional documentation before a decision was made on their application and also mentioned the address where such documents could be posted - but it isn't there on the website anymore.

Best to check with UKBA directly.
