Applying Kids visa when fathers visa application is under processing

I am applying tier 2 general for myself and dependant for my kids from india.
My husband is currently in uk on tier 2 ict and has applied for extension last week. So i assume he will get his brp in 6 - 8 weeks.
Will this lead to refusal of kids visa as the father's application is currently under processing?

Hi, thanks for your reply.
I applied on 31st july, priority and got my visa on 7th aug but kids visa status is decision awaited since 7th. Does this signal a problem?
My husbands visa expired on 23rd july. He applied for visa extension before that but currently technically he doesn't have a visa(as application is still under processing and it takes 8 weeks).
Could it be possible that ukvi is waiting for my husbands decision to be made, him getting his visa extended and then grant visa to my kids?

Did you apply for kids in priority? If not just wait for SLA of standard application. It is just 10th today.

Could it be possible that ukvi is waiting for my husbands decision to be made, him getting his visa extended and then grant visa to my kids?

Yes this is possible as the immigration rules for PBS Dependent children state clearly that both parents must have a valid visa to be in the UK.

We checked with our lawyer and she said my husband should be held as being lawfully present in the UK, he should have leave by way of section 3C as his extension application is pending so that is not am issue.
Is anyone else here who is experiencing a delay in getting kids dependant priority visa processed?
My joining date is 15th aug but cant travel due to kids visa delay
