Hi all,
Update on my application. Pre-settled status granted today 22.07.19
My timeline :
31.3.19 : online application submitted and linked to EU spouse application. Entered BRP number in application which held up application.
Email to MP:31.05.19 (not sure if this helped or to what extent)
14. 06.19: biometric enrollment letter received
19.06.19: biometrics enrolled at post office
22.07.19: presettled status 11:32 am.
No COA ever received.
This is after countless calls to resolution centre last one being call with manager on the team requesting to log a complaint on 19.07.19 (not sure if this had anything to do with it) decision received after exactly 16 weeks.

Good evening, am happy to be here in this forum. A quick one, I want to make an enquiry for a friend who want to apply under EU settlement scheme. She is non eu but married to her husband with British Child ( her husband has limited leave to remain in the uk) the British child stays with them. Is she qualify for the eu settlement scheme? Thank you for your swift response.
Hello
I understand:
- She is non-EU
- Her husband is non-EU
- Their child is British
So, here they don't meet the eligibility requirement to go through the EU Settlement scheme route.
The British child is a step child to my friend...presently, she has two children with her husband they all have limited leave to remain in the uk.

The EU settlement scheme is available when there is an EU dimension in the case. If none of you holds a EU passport, it won't work.
Who is eligible to apply?
You need to be an EU citizen1 or a non-EU family member of an EU citizen. This includes those with a UK permanent residence document. You do not need to apply if you have indefinite leave to remain or enter, or you are an Irish citizen, but you can if you want to.
You need to be a resident in the UK by 31 December 2020. If you have been a resident in the UK for more than 5 continuous years when you apply, you will be eligible for settled status. If you have been a resident for less than 5 years when you apply, you will be eligible for pre-settled status.
You must not be a serious or persistent criminal, or a threat to national security.
Family members
The EU Settlement Scheme covers all EU citizens living in the UK and their family members. Family members do not need to be from the EU; they can come from anywhere in the world (referred to as non-EU citizen family members).

I will probably complain tomorrow. Did you just call Resolution Centre and ask to log a complain or ask to speak with the manager? And then complained?

Bio metric 12 July
No coa. Until 23 July 10.40am

I have put her application reference number. Sent my English marriage certificate since 17.06.2013.
Sent her passport scan copy..
Worried, because my wife going France on 5 August to 30 August, .. do they ask for orginal passport for spouse...
I have scaned copy of all documents..
I have non eea permit valid until March 20.2020.
Could it be I don't get coa, I just get my stattus approved without coa on bio metric card..
Worried and anxious

Hi faizan
How long you been married for? And what visa you had before applying?
I applied 22nd April. Done biometrics same day. COA received 05th June and now waiting. I’m divorced but didn’t upload divorce certificate. There’s wasn’t any more space to upload more documents. Do you think I chase them about my application.
Thank you very much.

Hi jabir been married for 3 years and lived in UK for 5 years.
Use the sopra website which you might have used to book your biometrics appointment as there you can upload as many documents as you like
And keep calling them and if it’s been this long wait tell them you want to complaint as I feel my case was stuck somewhere when I made complaint yesterday at 12 in afternoon I received coa st 14:28 and decision this morning

Thank you

Just received my Indefinite Leave/Settled Status. I am a non-EEA, non-EU, non-Swiss spouse (not living together but not legally separated) of an Irish person. I had NO BRC and only a well expired EEA Family Permit in my passport. I have been in the UK for 9 years.
Applied: 05/07/19
Biometrics appointment: 08/07/19
Certificate of Application: 19/07/19
Request for further documentation: 23/07/19
Outcome of Settled Status/Indefinite Leave: 23/07/19 (literally 5 minutes after I emailed my sponsor's National Insurance number for them to run the same automated check as for me)

They requested proof that my sponsor (Irish spouse) had resided in the UK for the last 5 years. I provided my sponsor's National Insurance Number and they did the same automated check they did for my application to get their tax/employment history. As part of my original application I included our marriage certificate (American).

Hello, what documents did you need to upload at the biometric appointment? Eg. Proof of residency etc.
Many thanks

We got an email that the card will be received within 7 days.
Does he card holder have to sign the card personally? Or can her sponsor (and at the same time family member) do it? Maybe if she signs an authorizing letter in advance?
What happens if she misses the delivery because she had to travel for a week?
