Questions regarding the child registration

Post by memoa » Thu Jul 25, 2019 1:30 pm

Hi guys,

I have some question regarding the child registration

my son 3 years old born in the UK and I have got my ILR, so I believe the steps are,

1- filling the MN1 form online.
2 - make the payment at the end of the form.
3- book an appointment with sopra steria.( is this Automatically?)
4- print sign references and attends the appointment.

The document I need,

5- the birth certificate for the child.
6- passport or travel document.
7- marriage certificate.
8- my passport and ILR.

9- I 've spoken to the nursery and the GP about the ref,s and the person happy to write this, but no passport number will be provided. ( any advice)

Regards,

Yup that sounds right. Apply for MN1 online and everything is straightforward

Questions regarding the child registration MN1

Post by memoa » Wed Aug 07, 2019 9:42 pm

Hi guys,

I am about to make the payment for my son Apply for registration of a child under 18 as a British citizen, but I would like to clear some point before I do,

1-in the doc required a Proof of Mr x xxx (father and Mother) parental responsibility for XXXX. So what is the Proof could be? is it the birth certificate for the child?

2-scan and send The Two referee declarations for xxxx with the photo?

3- At the end of this payment, I should have the ability to upload all the required scanned doc from home or they will do it at the appointment?

4- should I take the same doc to the appointment again?

5- is there any hard copy doc needs to be sent to the home office?

6- I presume the biometric letter will be generated at the end of the process automatically?

7- Taking the appointment should be straight forward as well?

8- are there any missing step in the above process?

I really appreciate your taking the time to read my questions,

Thanks

1-in the doc required a Proof of Mr x xxx (father and Mother) parental responsibility for XXXX. So what is the Proof could be? is it the birth certificate for the child?
Correct
2-scan and send The Two referee declarations for xxxx with the photo?
Scan
3- At the end of this payment, I should have the ability to upload all the required scanned doc from home or they will do it at the appointment?
After you submit it, you are then given instructions to register an account with UKVCAS
4- should I take the same doc to the appointment again?
Yes
5- is there any hard copy doc needs to be sent to the home office?
No
6- I presume the biometric letter will be generated at the end of the process automatically?
No. After you book an appointment, you get a letter with QR code. Biometrics will be done at the appointment
7- Taking the appointment should be straight forward as well?
Depending on the availability
8- are there any missing step in the above process?
Pay -> Submit -> Create a UKVCAS account -> Book appointment -> Scan the docs and upload -> Attend the appointment with the docs -> Biometrics and checks done in a UKVCAS center -> Wait to get the certificate in the post :)
