Did you send the documents from Russia by post or from the uk? Good luck in your application
I sent the documents from the UK via Royal Mail Special Delivery. They were signed for on the 10th May, UKVI says they return them once a decision has been made, but it seems everyone on the forum gets them back within two weeks.
Hi mate

I sent mine on the 9th may, they've received it as someone signed for it. Till now I haven't received them back.

I was paranoid as well, thinking what if they didn't receive it etc? I emailed them and contacted them to see if they have it, but they are unable to check as it is not their department. They told me if someone has signed for it, means home office has got it.

Where did you send your documents? I sent mine to PO Box address.

No not yet, I called to enquire to ask and UKVI said they will be returned once a decision has been made. I have 20 Working days left until 60 Days, so hopefully will hear something soon.

Hi mate

I feel your pain, I've wasted over £25 on calls and email and my only question was if they received my documents or not as I didn't get them back. But they said it's not their department and I have to wait. Usually they will send it back once decision is made etc...

At TLS Contact in Moscow they only scan documents for general visit visas and not for settlement visas, why that is I dont know, they gave a letter saying to send documents to Sheffield.

Funny that, we couldnt get a date with TLS Contact in Moscow either, but if you click and pay for the out of hours appointment you'll get one straight away for 8am, strange thing was everyone else we met at the centre had the same problem and had to pay for an out of hours appointment and everyones was for 8am.

We were gong to send documents to the UK by DHL as they do a three day express delivery for £100 this was from my research the cheapest and most reliable service from couriers, in the end I flew to Moscow had a long weekend there with my wife, submitted the application and brought back all the supporting documents with me, which I then added my documents and sent via Special Delivery to Sheffield.

I would however double check with TLS Contact, as they may very well have started scanning documents now for settlement visas as its 2 months since our submission. We also had conflicting information from TLS all the time, they did scan, then they didnt scan, then they did, that was also one of the reasons I flew there with all my documents, as we couldn't really afford for it to messed up by TLS Contacts lack of knowledge.

She finally managed to get a date after we checked about 50 times in a day.Now just got to worry about the documents themselves I hope we can get them scanned if not il have to have them expressed over as been over to Russia twice this year so it’s getting kinda expensive and don’t particularly like the visa process in general.Have you gone for the priority or the standard?

We went for a standard application as there is also an application for my step daughter.
