ILR Long residence - Tier 2 Salary Increase Not Reported

Post by DreamerInDarkness » Thu Jul 25, 2019 9:37 pm

Hi all,

I'm currently on a Tier 2 visa and I've been in the UK for almost 10 years now (will be within the 28 days next week). I plan to apply for the ILR using the 10-year LR route as soon as I can.

I switched from Tier 4 to Tier 2 last August, on a salary of 65K. I received a raise to 75K this May and I just realised today that this was not reported on the SMS. The raise did not come with a change in job title or responsibilities.

Can this become a problem with my ILR application?

Thanks in advance - this forum has been super helpful to me.

Cheers

Thanks for the reply.

I'm guessing they can see my tax records through my NI number and notice the salary increase, and then see that it's not reported on the SMS system?

Am I just overthinking this?

Don't think they will go that far in 10 year route and even if they do, its not your fault. It's the employer's duty to update via SMS.

Yes. Their only interest is that you pay the correct taxes.
