How end date for BRP issued for T2 extension calculated

Post by steventony » Mon Jul 29, 2019 9:39 am

Hi

I am in T2 Established staff and falling short of month for ILR under 10 yr route.Initially this was 2 months however last 2 extensions end date calculation got pushed and covers a month.I have one more extension applied now.

Does any one now how start date and end date for extension is calculated ...i think they will have start date on the card when card is printed however end date calculation is ambiguous .For eg for 2 yrs extension they will not give exactly 2 ys from the start date it would always be a months few weeks less...

Thanks in advance

Please note that the Tier 2 ICT rules are different to the requirements for ILR based on long residence. If you don't have an ICT visa to get you to the qualifying period for ILR based on long residence, it has nothing to do with how long your ICT might be granted for.

The end date of your visa for ICT will depend on the end date of the CoS.

How long you can stay
You can come to the UK with a Tier 2 (Intra-company Transfer) visa for up to the maximum stay allowed for your visa type, or the time given on your certificate of sponsorship, whichever is shorter.

The maximum stay for each type of Tier 2 (Intra-company Transfer) visa is:

Long-term Staff (if you earn more than £120,000 a year): 9 years
Long-term Staff (if you earn less than £120,000 a year): 5 years, 1 month
Graduate Trainee: 12 months
Char (CR001 not Casa)
