EU settlement scheme family permit

Post by boneze1 » Thu Aug 01, 2019 7:29 am

Good morning everyone. Can someone please help me with this question. I have just been issued with a 6 months eu settlement scheme family permit in Nigeria this week on the basis of me being a mother in law of an eu citizen. My daughter in law and my son both have settled status in the UK. I’m currently in Nigeria and planning to fly to the UK on Sunday. My question is can I apply for pre-settled status immediately I get to the UK or do I have to wait till the 6 months visa expires?
Your response will be highly appreciated.

@boneze1

Can you please confirm when your son received their settled status (and/or PR status)? I heard somewhere that if the non-eu national did not apply for PR before 1 Feb 2017, then their parents cannot join them. So just generally trying to find out more about this, since I am trying to get my (non EA) wife's (non EA) parents over, but she applied for PR on 1 May 2017, and settled status 1 Jan 2019.

@ treetopthebird. I think my son and my daughter in law obtained their settled status sometimes in February this year.

I want to reapply Visa under eu settlement status for my mother inlaw. She is currently living in Pakistan. I have settlement status nead your help if any one can guide me much appreciate . I went to a assistance if he can apply visa for my mother inlaw eu settlement family permit because my English is not very good and also I'm not good in computer. He said to me I can't apply eu settlement family permit for my mother inlaw if she has biometric or something with fingerprints then she is eligible to apply for that visa. What i read on urs post some people got successful family permit visa.i really appreciate if any one can guide me plz

It would be more useful and beneficial if you continued in your existing topic you already have instead of tagging onto other members threads.
