Processing time for Join Family Visa for non-EEA citizens

Hi all,

I have applied for join family visa along with my son yesterday. My husband lives in Ireland on General permit for more than a year. Can anyone please tell me how long it will take exactly for the visa to be issued. I read in so many sites it is mentioned as 6 months. Also does the visa application for general permit join family goes to Ireland embassy not the New Delhi office. I couldn't find the apt thread. Please help me on this if someone has recently applied, within how many days you got the visa.
