Yes, you can.
Thank you secret.simon. So I won't lose my ILR. Would this cause any issue if when i'm more ready to apply for naturalisation again?secret.simon wrote: ↑Sun Aug 11, 2019 5:19 pmYes, you can.
You lose your ILR if you get British citizenship OR if you are absent from the UK for long periods (about two years).
No.
Thank you secret.simon. One last question: any idea how I can contact HO to apply for withdrawal?

Thanks Zerubbabel. I'm still doing some more research on whether I would lose my Thai or not, but it's good to know I have an option and I still have some time to decide.Zerubbabel wrote: ↑Mon Aug 12, 2019 2:17 pmIf by any change you get an approval for citizenship before your withdrawal request is processed, just don't go to the ceremony.
Your are British once you go to the ceremony not when you receive the letter.
Yes.
Thank you so much secret.simon Truly appreciate all your replies and guidance. More research on COE nextsecret.simon wrote: ↑Thu Aug 15, 2019 5:39 pmYes.
Of course, remember that you will not get all the visa-free travel benefits of a British passport if you go in for a CoE-RoA.
On the other hand, apparently, if you apply for a British passport, you will lose your right to a BNO passport. Your British passport will include observations on your right to reside in Hong Kong and your BNO status.
Also see BNO (Rights and privileges) on Wikipedia.
