Sheffield visa centre has returned supporting documents back

Post by alishahUK » Sun Aug 11, 2019 11:16 pm

Hi there,
I am in dire need of some help and hope that you good folks would be able to help me out. My Mrs, applied for settlement visa through Visa4UK from Morocco. we paid the application fee and IHS fee and she was given an appointment at TLS Centre in Rabat for biometrics and asked to bring all of the supporting documents on 31/07/2019. She attended the appointment and was then asked to send all her documents through DHL. However, the documents were returned back to me saying that I should submit the documents the correct way i.e. scan them. Any way called them on their premier telephone line and paid £30 just to find out that they cant help and she needs to go back to TLS Contact center so they can submit her documents.

She had to make an 8 hours journey to Rabat only to be told by TLS Contact center that they cant scan the documents as she had applied on 31st July while the new rules kicked in on 1st August. I emailed the home office again and they have replied saying that they cant help. Now from what I know I have only 20 days to submit documents and no one is willing to help.

Could any body help as how can i submit these bloody documents ?? sorry for my french but really stressed out and angry at the appalling service

Hey Kristian,

I have seen that document and its extremely confusing.

Please send your supporting documents to:

TLScontact UK Settlement Scanning Hub,
Exhibition House, Suite 18, Ground Floor,
Addison Bridge Pl, London W14 8XP.

The TLScontact Assisted Scanning Settlement service is available for a fee of £75 (+VAT)* per
application for a standard service, or £100 (+VAT)* for TLScontact Assisted Scanning
Settlement Priority service. Under the standard service, documents will be scanned in 5
working days from receipt of the documents; and under the priority service, documents will
be scanned within 24 hours from receipt of documents at the scanning hub.

If you choose to use this service, please log in to your account on the TLScontact website and
select TLScontact Assisted Scanning Settlement.

I don't have login details and i cant find any information on how to register and pay for the scanning service and then possibly send the documents to them. Any help will be appreciated

If you have original documents here in the UK , then you can get them scanned at any VFS centre near you, If am not mistaken and you have to pay £75 fee. Seniors can shed some light, please.

I did go to the VFS center here , but they said they cant scan documents for North Africa countries. And yes, I do have all the documents with me.

If thats the case then you have to contact your local VFS center from where the application was made, I am afraid.

VFS doesn't cover Morocco, TLScontact does as the OP has stated in their opening post.

You have indeed received an appalling service if the situation is as you've described it. You should, at the appropriate time, make a complaint against the TLScontact centre in Rabat.

It clearly stated in the document in the link above that supporting documents will not be accepted after 31 July 2019. Why then the instruction, on the appointment date, to post via DHL? Would DHL have been able to deliver by that deadline even if the documents were posted on the appointment date? It's unclear what led to that decision but the docs should have been scanned at the appointment.

If you still have not been able to submit the docs, which is the priority now, you could as an option visit the TLScontact UK Settlement Scanning Hub with the docs to see if they're able to help. I understand that they've asked for documents to be posted to that address. You can visit and see, if nothing else has worked so far.

I would certainly make a complaint as soon as possible. Hope you're able to get this resolved. All the best.

Hi, the rules changed on 1 April if Am not mistaken, now the documents were received in two ways in my case. Firstly, all my documents (applicant) was received and scanned and giving back to me same day and i was ask to send all my sponsor's documents back to the UK so she can send them to Sheffield before two weeks and didn't have any problem with submission of documents.

i am having the same problem. My wife had an appointment at tls contact centre lagos Nigeria.they took her biometrics, However they told her to send all the documents back to me and that I should scan them via the settlement hub in London for a fee of either 90pounds or 120 pounds priority. This is a rip off.

This is absolutely appalling service.
Probably a miscommunication here. TLSContact is supposed to take the documents from your wife after payment for the scanning and postage and TLSContact Lagos then sends to their scanning hub in London.
As it is now, Is there a means for you to reach I.E call or visit the address of TLS in London and find out procedures to follow so you can give the documents to them for scanning.

Hello Sir,

Where you able to do this and what website and or link did you go to if you did? I was asked to pay for the Assistive service settlement, but I couldn't and still can't find it on their website, but it seems others are finding it. Any help as I'm supposed to send my documents to the Assistive Hub in London here for that ripoff amount

If you go on the TLs Contact website via your application login, i think there is an account number. Its very confusing so i,d advise you to try and phone them i whatever country you are in.
