Tier 2 dependent extention - Main applicant got ILR on 5 year COS.

Post by Khan76 » Sat Aug 17, 2019 3:21 pm

Dear All,

I am posting this query after reading more than comments on the topic.

Please note that i am applying for wife visa extention as a tier 2 dependent under PBS route for more 2 years to qualify for ILR. She is here in UK for last 3 years and i understand that she will get another 3 years extention under this category.

Please also note that i got my ILR on tier 2 5 year route My COS was issued in 2014 for more than 3 years and i got visa accordingly.

Now when i am applying for my wife question in application regarding me for COS (upto 3 years or more than 3 years) which is obviously more than 3 years as mentioned before. However, when i am clicking on that option visa fee is calculating accordingly double £1408 even though she will get visa for 3 years.

Can i choose COS for upto 3 years which was not in my case just to pay the correct amount of fee which is £704 ?

Secondly, shell i choose for IHS validity of ILR upto 3 years ahead?

Thanking you in advance.

Will be highly appreciated.

She will only get a 3 year extension as stated in the immigration rules.

Dear Char,

Thank you for your time.

I know she will get 3 years extention however, that was not my query.

My query is regarding fee, which as i mentioned if i am choosing more than 3 years option for COS which was in my case for Tier 2 system calculating double fee which is £1408.

For 3 year visa fee is £704.

Please give some onput on this.
