How soon should I apply for Tier 1 (General) extension?

Dear All,
I am currently under HSMP visa. It's due to expire on 13-Nov-2008. I would like to show 12 months income from 30-June-2007 till 30-June-2008 for the extension purpose.

So, I would like to know if I can apply for extension under Tier1 sometime next month. Or is it better to apply in Oct-2008?

Another question,
Can I show my ISA savings towards maintenance funds?

1. Make an effort to search the forum for information already available on the issue (how soon can you apply?). I would suggest that you check with UKBA directly.

2. Yes, ISA is a individual savings account, so why the confusion?
