I applied to switch to Tier 1 with a valid HSMP letter within the UK. Not sure what daft moment I have been having then, but I misread the requirement for maintenance and only sent in my current account statements, where the balance at end of month was always 800 pounds, but NOT at ANY TIME during the past 3 month prior to the application. So, now I am planning to send the statements from my savings account, which is direcly linked to my current account as these accounts are both with HSBC and should be looked at in conjunction.
Upon calling the Home Office team, one caseworker told me to send the documents in NOW because once my case is assigned a case worker it is unlikely they will accept any additional documents. The second time I called, another caseworker said that I should NOT be sending anything until my case is actually on the system, otherwise they have nothing with which to match my additional documentation.
I applied on 1st July and received a reference number on 3rd July. My case is not in the system yet and I am anxious about timing the posting of additional documents correcly.
Anyone had gone through a similar situation and can offer advise???
Also, does anyone know how do they actually match the additional documents coming in to the case already on the system? Home Office chap could not give me a comprehensive answer on that.
Many thanks and good luck to all going through the process.
