Can I my skills be assesed under IT from ACS

Post by ruka » Mon Jul 14, 2008 7:54 am

Hello,

I am to apply under skill (general) - subclass 175

I am working as a software engineer (C++ programming). But what I have is a degree in electronic and telecommunication Engineering.

As the name implies the course is all about IT, though there was no direct software programming. Would my degree be considered under ICT - major by ACS. my nominated occupation is C++ programmer.

Can I directly go into skill assessment , or Do I need to get the RPL done first ? Please share your experience and advice.

Thanks a lot in advance

do I have to get the RPL done

Thanks,

I know I need to get my skills assessed by ACS. But before this assessment do I need to get the RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning ) done, since my degree is not related to software development directly (though it's IT).

Thanks in advance
