Proof of residence

Post by rhysmate » Tue Sep 03, 2019 5:25 pm

Hello,

I did a search and couldn't answer my specific Q.

I have been resident in Ireland for 24 years, and i want to get my citizenship.

My question is, do i need to provide proof of residence for each year going back that far (impossible, i was 5) or for the last 5 years? The instructions aren't fully clear. in one section it alludes to only 5 of the last 9 years?

Also, does this apply to P60 also?

Thanks

Just last 5 years.
If you are working, yes P60's for the last 5 years (although there won't be any new ones from next year).

You can also submit p21 instead of p60.

The p21 is available online if you are PAYE employee.

Thanks a million for that.

Do you know if they are ok with different addresses on those proofs of residence or do I need three from each address?? I moved quite a bit over the last 5 years.

For example, I have 3 from each year but some have different addresses on them. In 2016 I had 2 different address and have one proof from one and 2 from the other.

Yes It's fine. I moved three different places in five years when I applied in 2017.
