Ok, I am on ILR. do I have to be a British Citizen in order to apply for the passport for the child directly or is ILR enough to apply the passport?
A child born in the UK to an ILR holder or a British citizen is born British automatically.Ok, I am on ILR. do I have to be a British Citizen in order to apply for the passport for the child directly or is ILR enough to apply the passport?
Please ask your OCI questions in the Other Countries sub forum, link below. These questions are not relevant to the British citizenship sub forum. Note that if a child is born British and the other parent is Indian, the child has both nationalities till the age of 18.Then what are the process to get OCI card once got the passport or before British pssport. do I have any register with the Indian embassy in order to get the OCI?
