Hi,

My company applied for my Tier 2 visa for last months allocation and they received a request from the Home Office for more details about my job, why I am needed for it and why they can't find a local to fill that roll. They are about to send it back (i believe) today or tomorrow - will this then count as part of August's potential allocation or will it be part of the September lot and will it being sent back after the 5th of the month affect it?

I have no idea. My company has been very ordinary at keeping me up to date on what is happening. I have been emailing to get updates rather than them giving me an update and then they get annoyed for me asking questions about their application for myself! I have no visibility basically and I've now been stuck in my home country since May waiting, wasting rent money on nothing.

I'm in a similar situation and now the HR person who I was in touch is in annual leave... I don't know if the HO have requested for additional information/documentation and if there is someone able to provide so to the HO...

Anyway, I found this here (https://assets.publishing.service.gov.u ... dendum.pdf)

29.15We may wish to check the information you send with your application, for example,if we have doubts about its validity. If we need to make any checks, we may ask for more information or documents. You must send us any information or documents within 10 working days. If you do not, your application will be rejected.

29.16If you do send the information or documents within the time limit, but the date we receive them is on or after the allocation date you have applied for, or we are unable to make the necessary checks before the allocation date you have applied for, we will hold your application until the following allocation date. If we have been unable to carry out those checks by the following allocation date, your application will be rejected.

Thanks. It's a bit weird since apparently according to my HR (who I had been in contact with since they said it was going to be August 11th) they only just received it last week, so I'm not sure how that relates to 29.16 that you posted as it was after the allocation date that they applied for as the HO was slow on that.

Nope. it changed. Now you have one point for each £1,000 of salary. He should have 20 + 32 = 52 points. That's why now the minimum amount of points is 40, I believe.

My employer applied for the COS on 4th september...i think today is the day when HO will make decision..can somebody please update here if he/she gets the cos..my employer said that it may take upto 6 weeks to get the cos
Unintentionally being pessimistic, unfortunately, there is no deadline to the HO and it can take even though months... As you can see in the answer above (the guy waiting since July).

Good luck.
