Settled status

Hi All,
My wife recently applied for her settlement status using app and we failed to verify passport, at the end of the application showed to send passport to a Liverpool address which we send on 28th August and after 4 days passport returned to our address.After that didn’t heard anything from home office can anyone please tell how long this process take and how we get a reply from them via email or by post ? She’s living and working in uk last 10 years. So we believe it should be a straight case. On online it’s still showing to send documents for verification.
Can anyone advise us what need to do please ?
