BRP and NI Process

Hello my friend will be entering UK in October 2019 for the first time on Tier 2 General Visa.

I know since last few months BRPs have NI printed on them.

For my friend
1. Would she have to come to UK , apply for NI, get the NI and then apply for BRP?
OR
2. Will she get NI generated automatically on her BRP?
OR
3. Will she get the BRP(without NI) and have to apply for NI separately ?

Hi,

let your friend enter UK first and collect BRP. You cant apply for BRP. It is provided once your visa is successful and you can collect from designated post office location given in the BRP Letter.

If the BRP collected from post office has NI number on its back then that is your friends NI number.

If it does not have NI number, then apply for it by taking an appointment with jobcenter.
