Proof of address, original or photocopy

Post by satbIndia » Fri Sep 20, 2019 8:55 pm

Hello Friends,

Do we need to send original or photocopy (certified???) for proof of address when applying for Irish citizenship?
Thanks

It's mentioned in form 8 as below

Three different proofs of residence for each year of residence claimed, showing your
name and address and date of issue, e.g. mortgage/rent agreement, household bills
(gas, electricity, phone or cable/satellite TV), bank statements, revenue letters, social
welfare, letter from employment, etc.

If you have online bank account, online electricity or gas bill just print it and submit it.

But if you get letters by post it's better to submit original one to skip the delays

You don't need to certify the photocopies of proof of address
