Doubt on Post study visa

Post by Rimba » Wed Oct 02, 2019 5:02 pm

It is all over the news that UK has reintroduced the post study visa for international students.

It is fully approved by the government? Or it is just a bill proposed by government and needs parliament approval?

If it is approved and made as policy, what happens if borrison government is sacked?

Sorry, but it is still not clear.

Link above mentions the plan UK has for international students passing in 2021.

But my question is whether this plan fully approved by parliament? Is there any chance of it getting scraped or refused by parliament?

No it is not as yet as far as I am aware and no we can't predict what parliament does etc.

The only information forum members have is what the link I posted says.

Parliament is busy with other more important issues at present.

That's concerning :D :D

Let's wait for next 2 more months to have 100% clarity.

You must mean 2 more years. The relevant Statement of Changes in the immigration rules will probably be passed around April 2021.

Is it true?

Do you have any source saying it?

Yes, it probably is true. Rule changes generally happen in April and November so we anticipate "if" it is approved the relevant changes won't be published until April 2021. Even then they can set dates for introduction of the new route as was the case when they introduced Start-up.

Unfortunately, a lot of people are gambling their future on something that doesn't exist yet based on international media information.
