Tier 2 Dependent Visa Extension

Hi,

I am and ILR holder and switched to ILR from Tier 2 (General) category.

My wife is still a Tier 2 dependent, and we have been married for 3.5 years.

Her leave to remain expires in Feb 2020, and we want to extend her visa right now (Oct 2019) so we can plan some travel later this year.

A friend mentioned that I cant renew her visa right now, Is there a rule that an extension has to be within 3 months of expiry for a Tier2 (dependant)?

You can extend now and explain why you are extending early.

She can extend her visa anytime before it expires.

It will be a 3 year extension. You need £630 maintenance funds for 90 days.
