I see. But you already had the EEA2 residence card before you applied for settlement status. Can you travel with settled ststus Biometric residence card European countries visa free?
It says that EEA2 card will not be valid Dec 2020 if UK leaves EU without a deal Howevever, it will continue to be valid till June 2021 if uk leaves EU with a deal.Rose2019 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 01, 2020 9:27 amhi
no i have to apply for schengen visa to visit Europe with my settled status and to be honest even when I had my EEA2 residence card I always applied for multiple schengen visa as it was a way of avoiding issues at the border
All EEA2 residence cards will not be valid from 31st December 2020 because of brexit as EEA2 residence card is under EU law and that is why I changed my card from EEA2 to settled status.
OK I see. To be honest I would rather him keep his pre-settlement status rather than returning in the view to reapply again.
Thank you Rose2019. It is the above number that I have been calling and was told he can travel visa free since BRC is replacing the EEA2 residence card. Since I am from Cyprus, I will consult with Cyprus ambassy shengen visa so at leaSt we can travel once this year and see what happens next year after brexit.Rose2019 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 01, 2020 6:17 pmCall the EU settlement scheme contact number
