Hi, could someone with similar experience pls advise me?
I entered the UK on 15/09/2009 with a student visa. I completed my MSc and then PhD and now has a Tier 2 visa sponsored by my employer. My current visa expires on 28/08/2019 which means I can apply for my ILR (10 year route) from 19/08/2019 due to the 28 days grace period.
From the UKVCAS website, I saw that one can book a Super Priority Service up to 5 weeks in advance. Hence, I submitted my ILR application on 19/07/2019 and booked my Super Priority Services with the UKVCAS for 22/08/2019, thinking that my biometrics enrolment day counts as my application day.
Now, after downloading a copy of my application form, I realised that my application date is actually the day I paid for my application (i.e. 19/07/2019). This implies that I have submitted my application too early. The good news is that I still have a valid Tier 2 visa until 28/08/2019.
I have sent a written request to withdraw my ILR application to UKVI. They have now sent me a letter confirming that they have received my request.
Now my questions are...
1. How do I know when the application is withdrawn?
2. When do I expect the refund of my application fee (more than £3200) and how do I receive it?
3. What if I don't get the refund before I am due to make my valid application on the 19/08/2019?
Please kindly give me give me some advice on how to proceed. Thank you.
