T2G ILR Employer Letter

Post by Dilliwalah » Wed Oct 16, 2019 9:53 am

Dear good people,

I am due for ILR in March2020. I can submit the application in Feb2020 based on 28 day rule.

What is the date i need to get the letter from employer confirming absence, paid leaves and need for foreseeable future?

Can I take the letter now confirming it or does it need to be later? what is the rule around it.

Regards

There is no specific date when you should request a letter from your employer but it would make sense to get it just before you apply (maybe a week before) so that it cover your holidays taken upto that point.

Can I take the letter now confirming it or does it need to be later? what is the rule around it.

The employer letter should NOT be dated older than 30 days from the date of application.

T2G to ILR - Absence, Co-habilitation, Application date

Post by Dilliwalah » Wed Oct 23, 2019 3:46 pm

Dear Good People

Background:

1st leave - May 2010 to Feb 2015 - T2 ICT - Date entry to UK Jun 2010
T2 ICT to T2G switch done in UK. Change of Employer
2nd leave - Mar 2015 - Mar 2020 - T2 General - Done in UK

I will be applying ILR soon Feb 2020 (28 days before 5 year period is over) under T2G category.

My questions

1. Do i need to mention absences from Mar 2015 to Mar 2020 for new employer only or from 1st date of entry Jun 2010. My current employer will only give letter from which i joined current company.

2. My wife joined me in Oct 2015 she is not eligible for ILR till Oct 2020. She will get PBS dependent status till then. Do i need to show co-habilitation documents for 2 years in PBS dependent application?

3. My salary will get credit on 24 Jan 2020. I will be eligible for ILR on 5th Feb 2020 (28 days ahead of T2G expiry). Can I apply on 5th Feb itself, can someone please guide me?

1. Absences for last 5 years based on current visa.
2. When was her initial visa issued? Yes. Maintenance+cohab and IHS surcharge.
3. Yes.

Her dependent visa was issues in Sep2015. She joined me in Oct2015. So she can only apply ILR in Oct2020 and will need PBS dependent from Mar2020 to Oct2020.

3. Yes.

Thanks so 5th Feb with latest bank statement should be OK.

You should ask your PBS Dependent extension questions in the Tier 2 sub forum as it isn't relevant to the ILR sub forum.

1. PBS Dependents can apply for ILR within 28 days befor the 5th anniversary of their initial visa ISSUE date.

2. An extension will be for 3 years. IHS for 3 years will have to be paid too.

Thanks I understand.

In terms of absences do i only need to show from when i switched to T2G in Mar2020. Not for the 5 year period i was on T2 ICT before. To be sure. Thank you.

Your ILR is based wholly on the time spent on tier 2 general and when you started working for the sponsor. that is the only absence period that is relevant, as the previous poster has already stated.

URGENT - ILR OPTIONS

Post by Dilliwalah » Fri Oct 25, 2019 1:04 pm

Hi All

Just had some issues with my employment, I was eligible for T2G to ILR in Feb2020 5 year route which looks like hard to achieve now.

I will be eligible for 10 yr route in Jun2020 so just want to access my options.

Can T2G Dependent apply for Tier4 in UK as well.

If my spouse starts study in Jan2020 on T2G dependent visa but we plan to switch to T4 with me(currently main T2G holder) going T4 Dependent.

Is this possible too?

Can someone suggest other options, PLEASE :(

She should ideally start studying on a tier 4 if she can get a sponsor.
