WP --> Tier1 (Dependents issue)

Hi,

I am in UK on a work permit along with my dependents. I am applying for Tier1 visa only for myself (due to Funds). How long can my dependents stay in UK with me?

I think that ideally, my dependents will have to leave UK before my Tier1 visa is stamped, BUT, how will I come to know that date of stamping so that I can send them back to India a few days before Tier1 visa is stamped.

OR

Will I have to send my dependents back to India at the time of application itself? But in that case, if my application gets rejected then their going to India would be a waste!

I saw similar questions in the forum, but still am confused a lot on this. Hence posting this question.

Please help.
