BRP valid for only 5 years

Hello,

I have just received BRP but it only has 5 years to stay via ILR route. I am a bit upset because the price for BRP is very high and worried if I have to pay for another couple of thousand pounds after 5 years. So I wonder how much would it cost and what documents will be needed to extend my BPR? Do I have to stay in the marriage to extend BRP?

No and you are not applying for NTL, you will simply renew the BRP card (similar to a driver's licence). It is NOT a whole new ilr application and cost.

No you do not need to remain in the marriage to renew the card.

Obviously if you apply for British citizenship, renewing the card is irrelevant.
