ILR - Child Citizenship

Post by deepakpareek » Tue Sep 24, 2019 1:49 pm

Hi ImmigrationBoard team,

Visa Type: Tier 2 General visa
Visa start date: 04 Dec 2014
Visa expiry date 30 Nov 2019.
Entered the UK date: 12 Dec 2014
Planned date to submit online ILR application: 14 Nov 2019.

Can you please help answer the following question :

1) My child who is born in UK, has a Tier2 Dependent visa. (This is because we visited India for a holiday.)
His Visa Expiry Date is: 30Nov 2019.
Question) If I do not receive the ILR decision by 30th Nov 2019, do I need to apply for my son's Tier2 Visa dependent extension ? Will he be an overstayer otherwise?
Or just wait until I have received the ILR, and then apply for Citizenship directly?
(Note: That we do not plan to go outside UK until we get his citizenship.)

Thanks

No need to extend.

Simply apply for citizenship once you get ILR.

Hi Seniors,
One urgent question, when I received my Tier 2 General visa in Dec 2014, I got a stamp of visa and I have no BRP card with me. Now when I have to apply for ILR application under set(o). Do I need BRP or my T2G visa stamp is sufficient.
Many Thanks,
