Post by waqas123 » Mon Oct 21, 2019 9:56 am

Hi everyone. My friend have just married now. His wife is dual National of Romania and Portugal.

Which visa form he should use to apply 5 years visa now? Is that online or paper form?

Thanks

If his wife is exercising Treaty Rights in the UK, he can send this document:

https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... orm-eea-fm

It's a long document but not all pages apply to everyone.

This process is quick and much better.

https://www.gov.uk/settled-status-eu-citizens-families

tell him to apply for Pre settled status, I presume she is exercising treaty rights in UK and they both are married!!!
{ I'm not a solicitor, legal professional or immigration advisor, all of my posts are based on my online search and my own PR, ILR (LR), 2 FTT and 2 UTT refused but finally after 3 years of long battle I got my SETTLED STATUS. }

As long as the EEA route is open, I prefer the EEA card then pre-settled status. You can travel with your partner to Europe with an EEA card, not with a pre-settlement one.

Yes but at this time the most important thing is to get the permit quickly. Travelling to EU with your partner will be easier later or you can get a visa to EU countries.

But this process is extremely quick.

I am very sorry for being so confused or dumb.

Back in a days it was EEA2 form after marriage.

Which form is to be used or it is online to do only.

Sorry for keep repeating my question again n again.
