How early can I apply for spouse extension?

Hello,

My current Spouse visa expires on 8th Jan 2020. How early can I apply for extension so I can complete 5 years for my settlement.

My current visa started on 8th July 2017.

I don't want to apply too early to get an extension which doesn't cover the full 5 years for my settlement on 8th July 2022.

Please advice.

Yes, sorry, the overstay question is for my close friend.

And the British citizenship is for my husband.

This question is for myself.

Sorry, Home I am not breaking rules. But they all are genuine questions. I am not a lawyer or something.

You should apply no sooner than within 28 days before reaching 30 months residence on a spouse visa (note not a fiance visa as that doesn't count) OR before your visa expires.

Yes. Your new visa will be valid from date of approval, it is not tagged as valid from a date following your current visa expiry.
