Tier 2 Visa application - Dependents information

Hi,

I have a general query, while filling the Tier 2 General Visa application form, it asks regarding any persons who are dependenting on you financially.

Can I enter my parents as dependents and answer -
-Does this person currently live with you ?
Yes
-Is this person travelling with you to the UK ?
No

Right after this question, the forms requires you to enter your parent details as a part of the questions.

What are the implications of adding parents as dependents?
I intend to invite them on visit visas later on after I settle down so they can visit and stay with me for a few weeks? Does this have any bearing on any future visa applications or my own Tier 2 General visa application.
