Spouse Visa Extention B1 IELTS test query

Post by mrbzu » Thu Oct 31, 2019 10:53 am

Hi,
I am british citizen and my spouse came in UK on depended visa. she passed the B1 test when she applied for first time entry. is this still valid for

Extension application after 2.5 years?
Indefinite leave to remain?
Naturalization?

If yes so this means she no longer need new test in the whole process

IHS fee health charges Spouse extention application

Post by mrbzu » Thu Oct 31, 2019 10:58 am

Hi,
When my wife initially came they given the visa for 2 years and 9 months. she paid £600 when IHS fee was £200 a year.

For her extension application, will she pay for another 3 years or 2 years at rate of £400 per year?

this is confusing whether they charge for 2 years or three years.
if they charge for 3 years then clearly they are making a 1 year NHS charges extra to all applicants.

IHS has increased from £200 per year to £400 per year.

It is a 2.5 year extension for a spouse visa on FLR(M).
this is confusing whether they charge for 2 years or three years.
Unclear what form you are looking at. There is only one visa duration for FLR(M), 2.5 years.
if they charge for 3 years then clearly they are making a 1 year NHS charges extra to all applicants.
You are likely looking at the wrong application form.

IHS for a 2.5 year visa extension is £1000.
she paid 3 years £600 initially
That would be because the initial visa would have been for 33 months.

They charge 3 years for the initial visa because it's granted for 33 months and charge a full year IHS fee for portions of a year over 6 months.

You can use an expired test IF it was used in a previous application and it is still on the current HO list at whatever stage you are at.
