Permanent or Temporary residency

Hi guys,

This is my first post here..seems to be a good place to put out my doubt. Iam an international student and I have completed 2 years of full time study in IT. Iam doing my processing of all the health, character and accredation clearance for my residency application. The problem is, my visa expires on August 16th 2008 and my IELtS is on August 9th. For applying PR I need to show my IELTS result which I wont think will be available by then. So Iam planning to apply for temporary residency first and once I get tall the documents back, I'll apply for permanent residency. Do you guys have any suggestions or do u foresee any issues here. Please help me with ur suggestions. Thanks in advance
