I am not a Legacy cases specialist so as much as my advise is sincere, it may not necessarily be the best advice. in regards to ur query, i think any documents which show u as a person of good character and morals is a good document which can be used to good use! thus, if the certificates show u being an honest hardworking employee, then definitely send it. the payslips show u r a worker and not a burden on the state and so thats good too.

Sounds like your case is more or less identical to mine, I am a single case, came early 99 as minor at the time, same thing, its has been going on for over 9 and half years now, and your dates are very close to mine in terms of rejection and beyond, have alot of british citizen family here, and also studied upto masters degree from high school.

If you dont mind could you let me know more about the MP's follow up, and also your letter as I am doing the same. Already home office has mis-handled the case, and want to get this resolved as quickly as possible, have asked the MP and the solicitors to act quickly.

ok, this is how i see it:

dont talk about asylum etc and how ur life is being threatened back home IF U R A FAILED ASYLUM SEEKER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this is bcoz:

1. if u have exhausted ur "asylum" appeals, then there is no point banging on about it, u have lost the asylum case, simple as that.

2. LEGACY teams were brought in to deal with those people who have strong Article 8 grounds and so it will be waste of taxpayers money goin thru the courts dealing with their Art 8 appeals.

therefore, you should write as clearly as possible about your article 8 i.e.:

how long u ve been here for, how u have INTEGRATED in the UK society, how u consider urself as a person settled here, yr house being here, ur family, ur children, your parents/siblings, your education being here, your accent being british, your charity work.

talk about your good character, how u dont have a criminal record and how u want to return something to the country and be a taxpayer and not a burden on the society!

my letters were 2 sides of A4. dont bore them with longggggggggggggg stories about asylum, threats, money problems etc, they are not interested in that. they are interested in seeing how difficult it will be to remove u in light of the strength of your article rights.

How was your style? was it very formal? did you make references about cases of law or certain articles related to the human rights ?

Hi, after having submitted an EEA2 application for my fiance last Aug we found out a couple of months ago that case was transfered to the Legacy team.

Our worry at the moment is the changes occurring regards the whole 1st Oct deadline for voluntary return. As the legacy cases may not be resolved until 2011, if he is refused will he face the 10 year ban?

[b]also provide evidences in the letters i.e. attach copies of academic certificates (if you have any), copy of marriage certificate (if any).

bak it up with evidence, anything and everything helps.

also, if u have letters from well reputed people e.g. i had a letter from my college lecturer saying how bright i am and how i will do well in exams and will contribute to the british society! it helps!

well as i told u i been here since des 98 as asylum seeker n didnt get ne refusal of my case, n my case is still under consideration for past 10 years,

i been payin tax for few years, then got different certificate from different security companies, plus did a course in Air Ticketing n terrif, n also passed my LIFE IN THE UK TEST,

wot do u think if i post them photo copies of all these documents including the letter i recieved from my MP that will help me to get ILR?

as i have already wrote my MP n i have been told that my case is under lagacy case.

thank you all for your responses and advice but here i am just back to ask some more...... The Legacy Team wrote back to me probably with the standard letter they send to everyone about all cases being resolved by 2011, so my question now is WHAT DO I DO FROM HERE????????? do i carry on writing to them???????(even though they asked not to contact them again) and what content should i put in the follow up letters....what should i do people

initially i had received the same standard response from them i.e. wait until 2011 but they never asked me not to contact them. i am really surprised they ve asked u not to contact them.

anyways, wot u should probably do at this moment in time is that u should involve ur MP and show him the correspondence and get the MP to convince the HO to treat u as a priority case so that u can be dealt with as soon as possible.

MP's usually just make representations on ur behalf, they dont usually involve themselves too much and they surely dont like telling the HO how to do their job BUT nevertheless where an MP sees that his voter is being severely mistreated and delayed by the HO's incompetence and laziness, then a good MP would kick some butt at the HO (as in my case) and hopefully u 'd be then treated as a priority legacy case.

actually i have been here almost 6 years. i made a fresh claim through my solicitor 5 months ago , so they just replied to my solicitor and wrote exactly like that ( i am writing to acknowledge receipt f your letter dated 11/03/2008 your client case has been allocated to this team, and receiving attention.

and the his signature

with that ( legacy CRT - LIVERPOOL 8

yes i am single and i have section 4 benefit through National Asylum Support Service(NASS).

BUT DO YOU KNOW HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE UNTIL I GET REPLY FROM THEM PLEASE?
