GOING THROUGH DIVORCE BUT HAVE TO TRAVEL

Post by inesbankole » Wed Nov 06, 2019 11:58 pm

Hi all,

This forum has been very helpful. i just need some advice here.

I am a non-eu citizen with the residence card expiring in 2021 and also granted pre settled status.

I am separated from my eu wife and have started divorce proceedings with decree nisi granted.

I have not applied for decree absolute yet.

I am travelling tomorrow due to an emergency for my dad and will be back in 2 weeks.

Just need some advice on what documents i should keep on me just in case i get asked questions regarding my EU wife on my way back at the border.

Thanks a lot

You are still legally married until the date the Decree Absolute is issued. You rights therefore remain in place until that point.
