Hi I was just wondering when I apply for my naturalisation. At the appointment date will they keep my passport?

I am asking this because. I was thinking to travel this xmas. But obviously if I don't have my passport I wont be able to travel.

Everything is scanned and uploaded with the new system. No originals are sent in anymore. UUKCVAS will need to SEE your original passport to confirm your identity but they give it back to you.
