Hi all;
I do have a tier 2 general visa until October 2022. I changed my employer September 2018. I do have 3 dependents and their visa is valid until November 2019. During my employer change, I did not apply for extension for my dependents and now I am planning to apply for tier 2 visa extension for them at October 2019.
My question is about the maintenance fund requirement;
I do have 3 options,
a) Showing my bank account; do I have to show the required amount just for my dependents which is 630 x 3 = 1890 pounds, or do I have to prove that I also do have the required fund for myself as main tier 2 migrant which is 630 x 3 +945 = 2835 pounds even though I am not applying with my dependents. I do have over 1890 however lower than 2835 pound at my account.
At my visa extension last year, I did not have to show any maintenance funds.
b) Using my certificate of Sponsorship details,
At my COS, my employers tick to certify maintenance for migrants’ section as YES. And did not mentioned anything on the sponsor note section regarding the maintenance of the dependents which makes the COS usable for proving the maintenance fund required for dependents. However, this COS expired on October 2018.
Can I still use the COS to show as a proof of maintenance for my dependents even though it is expired?
c) Taking a letter from my employer, that is my last preferred way as my employer’s HR is very busy and usually using an external company to deal with sponsor issues. In any case if I can not apply with the above 2 methods, I will try to take the letter.
Your help is appreciated.
Thanks
