English Language requirement for Naturalisation

Post by Jalaibi » Sun Nov 17, 2019 9:00 pm

I have done IELTS for UKVI (Academic from Wimbledon School of English "not in list now") on 27 April 2013 for an extension of Tier 4 Visa that time. Got B2. I need to know can I use this for my naturalisation application?
Home Office guidance says "Acceptable qualifications
We will only accept an English language qualification that is on the Home
Office’s list of approved tests as evidence that you have met the requirement to
hold a B1 level English qualification. This must be taken at a Home Office approved
test centre.
The list of recognised tests can be found on the gov.uk website:
https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... age-tests.
If you met the requirement to have sufficient knowledge of language and life in the
UK when you applied for settlement by having a B1 level test you do not have to
demonstrate it again. (People who applied for settlement on or after 28 October
2013 needed to have had a B1 level qualification.)

I got my EU PR in 2018 which did not have any requirement of english language test.
Your help would be appreciated.

You need a new test at B1 or higher level that is on the current ho approved list.

Thank you for swift reply. I just cancelled my UKVCAS Sopra Steria appointment for tomorrow and booked IELTS Life skills B1. Unfortunately earliest date I got is 8th December. So, one month being wasted cause of this silly IELTS :(
