Proof of residency for BC (EEA National)

Post by aabb42088 » Mon Nov 25, 2019 4:58 pm

Hi,

As an EEA national I have to prove residency in the last 5 years (as my passport is not stamped).

I have payslips for the entire period - however I am not sure if I have to stamp those. I'll explain:

One of my employers, which I have no contact with them, used ADP for the payslips. The payslip is a standard UK format (almost identical to the format illustrated in https://www.reed.co.uk/career-advice/p ... explained/- only differences are in the font ...) however instead of posting it I used to get that electronically as a PDF document.

Can I use those payslips or do I need to do anything special?

If I cannot contact this past employer - are there any other ways to illustrate residency? will bank statements/utility bills work for BC the same as it works for EEA PR? (at the end of the day - what if I was not working, what would I have used then? there is no employment requirement for BC after PR).

Many thanks

Tax forms? P60/P45
If you worked (almost) all the time, it should be enough

First - thanks for replying.

I have a P60, but it is the same story: electronic format.

I do have a tax code notice from HMRC from when I started with this employer (the employer name appears on the TCN) so it is at least one document I can use (falls other 'other government documents').

From that old employer I have:
- P60
- Payslips
- Contract & offer of employment

BUT all are electronic (e.g. the contract PDF has a checkbox with the employer name, timestamp and a note stating that this is the equivalent of handwritten signature).

So I end up with the same question:
- Can I use the payslips which are fully UK standard format but not posted?
- Can I use the contract mentioned above? in other words - does the limitation of electronic format usage is only on payslips/P60s?

Also - I am working here since the day I arrived: 8 years now. So I guess a check the HO will do on my NINO will actually confirm that the payslips are authentic, I am just not sure I am not overthinking that

Many thanks

as pointed out payslips and contracts not required

Many thanks
