Move ILR to new passport

Hi,

Need a help please...My wife has ILR and it is in an expired passport. I am planning to move that to a BRP card. Does anyone have an idea on the average timeline? Just wanted to check it is faster to apply for British Passport or this is faster...

Visa to BRP transfer takes around 6 months. British citizenship, ceremony and passport may take around the same amount of time
