Change oF Employment -Application

Hi All

My husband has been made redundant in his present job under Tier 2 General Visa.
His visa is valid until Sep 2020.
He is looking at taking another job and has couple of interviews lined up.
When he gets the new job how to submit the application.
Does he need to make the application outside UK?
Not sure whether he can apply under switch or extend options.
Please advise.
