Ielts Academic or General Training?

Hi,

I have received a restricted cos and applying from Pakistan for Tier 2 visa.

I still need to take ielts for english language requirement.

My question is, do i need to take IELTS General Training or IELTS Academic test?

In the UKVI website, all it says is for Tier 2, you need to achieve CFER B1 level but it does not say anything else.

I would greatly appreciate if someone could help out here.

Thank you very much for your reply. I will appreciate if you could answer the following please

1) to satisfy B1, is it sufficient to get an overall 4 or do i need to get 4 in each of the four moudles of ielts?

2) does it increase my chance of getting visa, if I get a better grade in ielts?
