GNIB/PPS for Citizenship Application

Post by efse » Fri Dec 06, 2019 12:54 pm

Hi,

I am an Indian citizen applying for Irish naturalization based on 5 years residency.
Can anyone please confirm if the original GNIB and PPS or just their copies need to be submitted for the citizenship application?
If it is just copies, do they need to be certified?
Is there any other document other than birth certificate that needs to be certified?

Thank you

You have post certified copies of GNIB card, PPS card, Birth Certificate. If the birth certificate is in your native language, it has to be translated in English. So copies only not the original. You have to submit the original passport not the copy

Just a certified copy of your birth certificate. No other documents need to be certified.

Read the instructions on Form 8 before filling out your application. All documents required are clearly listed there.
