Tier 2 General extension- questions

Hi all
I just submitted my Tier2 general extension (online) and booked appointment in 3 weeks time at UKVCAS
have 2 questions

1- am I required to show maintenance proof for me and family (I still working with same sponsor)
2- the appointment at UKVCAS will be after expiry date of my current permit by 4 days - will this cause any issues ? I can book earlier but it will cost more

1. I didn't have to show any maintenance proof for extension, however, that may be because my employer certified maintenance in CoS... so check your CoS and/or checklist if you need to provide maintenance proof or not.

2. As long as your application submission & payment date is before your visa expiry date it should be fine.
