1. If job is under shortage occupation then RLMT is not required.

2. Yes Tier 4 Dependents can switch inside UK but remember you need RCOS

valid national identity card

Post by piyush12345 » Fri Dec 20, 2019 6:39 pm

I am an Indian national. While filling up Tier 2 general application form, it asks for valid national identity card, which does not include driving license.
I do not have any other national identity document except my passport and driving license, what should i fill here. :'No'.
or shall i fill yes and give my passport details again, as the application form asks about passport in a different page as well.

Appreciate your help and time.

Tuberculosis results

Post by piyush12345 » Fri Dec 20, 2019 6:57 pm

Hi,

Me and my wife are applying for Tier 2 general and its dependent visa inside UK (switch). Do we have to do a recent TB test and submit its results?

Previously we were on Tier 4 and its dependent visa and we had done our Tuberculosis Test in India in 2016, in the approved test center of UKBA (which was mandatory requirement for Tier 4 and its dependent visa).

Appreciate your time and help.

If you've been living in the UK then it's not needed when you switch from tier 4 to tier 2.
My advice is based on personal research/experience, so pls check relevant UKVI sources.

Mention NO. You can give adhaar if you have. Else just mention NO.

Tier 2 application: What will you use to prove your degree taught in English:

Post by piyush12345 » Fri Dec 20, 2019 10:12 pm

While filling up Tier 2 general form,

it asks for 'What will you use to prove your degree taught in English? (Required): Degree certificate or Official transcript or letter'

I have both.

Is there any reason in the background for selecting either of them ?

Thanks in advance.

1. Please stop starting new topics for each question. Keep all your questions in one thread please

2. For a foreign degree, you also need UK naric English and comparable assessment. For a UK degree you only need the degree certificate.

Tier 4 to Tier 2 General dependent

Post by piyush12345 » Mon Dec 23, 2019 11:05 am

Hi,

I am switching from Tier 4 main applicant to Tier 2 general dependent.

while filling up the application form for Tier 2 general dependent, I came up with the following question :

'Do you currently have a valid visa or leave to remain as a dependant of a points-based system (PBS) migrant?'

I think the answer is no as I dont have the valid visa as a dependant of a points-based system (PBS) migrant.

Is the question to be read like :'Do you currently have a valid visa ' or 'Do you have leave to remain as a dependant of a points-based system (PBS) migrant?'

Then my answer is yes.

Which approach is to be followed?

Surname expanded

Post by piyush12345 » Mon Dec 23, 2019 4:07 pm

Hi,
My friend is applying for Tier 2 General Visa. Her surname is stated with initial only in her BTech certificate and transcripts. Her actual name is : 'Lakshmi Mxxxxxxxx', but in her BTech certificate, it is mentioned as 'Laksmi M'. But in passport her name is mentioned as complete:'Lakshmi Mxxxxxxxx'

Will it create any problem in getting her NARIC certificate and for Tier 2 General application, even if she mentions about it in the covering letter?

Please advise.

Thanks in advance.

NARIC TRANSLATION

Post by piyush12345 » Sun Jan 05, 2020 12:49 pm

While uploading the documents in NARIC, it also asks for Translation of all documents. All the transcripts are in English only. The degree certificate is in English and Telugu (Each line of English is repeated in Telugu just in the line below, which means it is already translated in the certificate itself).

Is it correct to skip uploading the translation doc and writing the reason in the space provided!!!

If i do the above, it says: 'There may be further information we may need for the degree......'

Can you please advise?

Yes, no further translation required if it's in English and Telugu. Anyway, it's NARIC website, so if they need further info they will contact you.
