Applications for naturalisation received in January 2006 are currently being processed.
Under the Irish Nationality and Citizenship (Fees) Regulations 2008, the following new fee structure will come into effect from 1 August 2008.
The following fees shall be paid by the applicant on the issue of a certificate of naturalisation:
(a) where the application is made on behalf of a minor, a fee of €200.00;
(b) where the application is made by a widow or widower whose spouse was, immediately before death, an Irish citizen, and who has not, subsequent to the spouse's death, become a naturalised citizen of a state other than the State, a fee of €200.00;
(c) in the case of all other applications, a fee of €950.00;
(d) the fee payable under (a), (b) or (c) shall be nil, if the application for the certificate concerned is made by or on behalf of a refugee or stateless person or by or on behalf of a programme refugee.
You're probably confusing it with something else (possibly LTR?) or whatever, but what you say is inaccurate. I am keeping a log of what they say on the website and 3 month ago (April 23rd) they we saying that they are processing apps from September 2005.mktsoi wrote:last time when i checked the inis website, it was 3 months ago. it said they were processing the January 2005 application and now they are saying they processing Januray 2006. i was wondering, would they start charging 9500 now instead of 950 heheheheheTRV wrote:Citizenship

950 euro is not alot for citizenship, now, here is the bad thing about this 950 euro. i think most of the people willing to pay this amount. providing that the idiotic irish government change the processing time from 3 years to 3 months!!!!!!!limerick wrote:it is shame that they are started to ask 950 euros, it was same at germany as i remember they were charging about 800 euros for citizen ship, after alot of complains and Turkish campains fights at the Eu human rights courts, they have won. and also he kept there receipts got the money back,
so Suggest who pays 950 euros please keep your receipts, we will get these money back one day , very sure.
