I regret not appealing my refused DRF1. However; I will be putting in for fresh DRF1 application in the new year with the spirit to fight any negative outcomes to the brim....
It appears that HO are only issuing pre- settle and settled status to only applicants with current derivative residence status.
Are there anyone out here that have been issued an EU settlement status that have completed 5 years derivative residence and don’t have a valid derivative residence card?

I salute you for initiating this thread and congrats on being one of the first to pull out a Zambrano settled status.
If my memory serves me well, you had an appeal in the pipe line. What was the outcome?
Also; don’t you think your appeal in the pipeline had an effect on the outcome of your settled status?
My case is exactly as yours but I have been waiting since June 10th. I can’t work out the need for the delay. I understand the case by case approached, but nothing seems to be moving. So am very worried as to what maybe brewing down under.
